The event is being held at the Pierre Regional Airport May 25-26, 2024
Gates open at 9:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. The VIP areas and Corporate Chalets will open at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.
The aerial portion of the show runs from noon to approximately 4:00 pm.
The practice day is not open to the public.
All the major acts, which you can see on our Performer Page, will perform both days. The specific line-ups of each day’s show are posted about 1-2 weeks prior to the show. All schedules are subject to change.
Due to security and check in procedures, no re-entry is permitted. Please make sure you have everything you need to enjoy the full day at the air show when you enter upon arrival.
Ear protection is not required, but is recommended, especially for children under 5 who may be startled by the noise of the aerial performance teams.
We will have a variety of aircraft on static display inside the event site.
Children 12 and under require no ticket for General Admission. However, please see the attendance policy and requirements for any other areas such as VIP or Box Seating, as those areas may have different ticketing requirements for children.
If you are in General Admission, we recommend bringing chairs. Preferred Seating, VIP Corporate Chalets, and other VIP areas include seating so you can leave your chairs at home. Please check your ticket for details.
Shade is limited as the show viewing area is on an airport ramp You will be allowed to bring a hand-held personal umbrella. Tents and large canopies are not allowed as they block the view for other guests, and also can be blown away in the wind causing injury or damage.
Please contact our Media Relations Director, Greg Gibson at info@lffairshow.org no later than 2 weeks prior to the show. Due to the volume of request, please note that only official credentialed media on assignment from an accredited publication or station are eligible for media credentials to the event.
We will have a large variety of food and beverage selections at the show.
Sunscreen, ear protection and one sealed bottle of water per person are recommended. If you are in General Admission you may bring your own chairs. A personal size, handheld umbrella is also permissible for shade from the sun.
It is also advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes, and plan to be on your feet for extended periods of time. Shaded areas will be available, but not guaranteed at the time you may need them, so plan accordingly.
No tents, awnings, canopies will be allowed. This also applies to handheld umbrellas or shades that can be attached to chairs. There can be no unattended shade items on the ramp, as they can not only block the view of other guests, but can be caught in the wind and cause injury or damage.
Firearms, large knives, and other weapons are strictly prohibited.
Backpacks, bags and purses are allowed, but will be subject to security inspection upon entrance. All prohibited items mentioned in these FAQs will be confiscated or guests will be asked to discard or return them to their vehicles. Our air show is ADA compliant. For guests with disabilities, we recommend giving yourself just a little bit of extra time to get to the seating areas. We have assistance in the parking areas and the airport ramp of course is paved. The access to the viewing areas is unobstructed and will be easily accessible by wheelchairs and other ADA conveyances. There is no specific seating other than in the chalets, but guests are encouraged to bring their own bag chairs or other portable seating for use in the general viewing areas. It is important to note that this is an airport ramp, and while we have tried to make it as accommodating as possible, it is still a temporarily converted area that is being used for our event, and may not be an ideal environment for everyone.
Yes, handicap parking will be off the airport property at Kennedy elementary School, 2306 Brookstone Lp, Pierre, SD 57501. Please show your handicap placard to the parking attendants when you arrive. CLICK HERE to Visit the LOCATION page for details.

Never, ever leave an animal locked in a car!
